How did you two meet?

We met at my best friends house one Saturday night.

How did he propose?

He proposed to me at my birthday party in front of my closest friends and some whanau...I had no idea...made up for the fact that he had given me a free view box for my birthday that week!

How did you choose your wedding dress?

I was in Christchurch while Erin was getting chemotherapy, my best friend ( who was also my maid of honour)' lives in Christchurch so she organized a day at a bridal shop where she helped me try them all on.. she had said when she first picked it this will be the one for you.. and it was and it was perfect.

How did you choose your date/venue?

Funnily enough it had to fit around cricket season of course lol ..but really it was about making sure people had enough time to get here. Erin is from South Africa so we wanted his whanau to come that could. Also the venue was the Basilica Church and then the Masonic Lodge for the reception. The church was what Erin had always wanted and we also wanted a venue in town that was easy for everyone to get to.

Did you have a theme/colour scheme for your wedding?

Colour for wedding reception was white and gold.

Tell us about the ceremony - did you write your own vows?

No vowels but Erin sang to me after his speech. Amazing! The whole reception was on their feet!

Where did you have your photos taken?

Photos were taken at Anderson's park. The same place my parents got theirs and some in town.

Which is your favourite photo from the wedding day? Why?

Here is my favourite photo. A recreation of what my parents did on their day.

Tell us about your reception?

Our reception was all about love and life. We had a really big few years with Erin being so sick so we just wanted to celebrate. It was the best.

What was the most memorable part of the day?

We wanted no stress and just a party to celebrate love and life. It was all amazing I would not change a thing.

We had so much help from friends and whanau that made our day the most perfect wedding day ever. Everyone did so much behind the scenes and got involved in so many ways to pitch in for our big day.
